Above is a link to the Charles I half groats in the Numista catalogue. Yours is clearly not Group A, nor is it milled. So the only comparisons we can show you are from Group D. Take a look and see what you think. When I'm next with my Spink catalogue, I may be able to offer some other alternatives.

It looks to me like one from aberystwyth but without a mintmark I cant be certain. If you look above the shield there is usually a mark but it may have worn off.

I took some (hopefully) better photos, including a close up of above the shield. I can't see any remaining mintmarks myself but maybe you will see something I don't.
This is a scan of my Spink catalogue, showing the regnal half groat issues struck at the Tower mint. There are some other, provincial issues struck during the Civil War but without enough detail to show the mint mark, we are really going to struggle with a definite identification.
