This discussion concerns the Bolivian 20 centavos coin series on this Numista page:
I have an example of this coin with 11 stars on the obverse, weight not mentioned on the reverse, and a date of 1871-ER (with “ER” being the Potosi Mint assayer's initials. This coin weighs 4.5 grams and has coin type die axis.
Based upon the above, this coin would be N-74533 and KM# 154.2, but Numista does not list this coin in the N-74533 date/valuation table. Numista lists only two KM# 154.2 type coins: one just like mine, but with the reverse rotated only 90 degrees (not 180 degrees) from the obverse, and another with the date-assayer combination of 1871-FP.
Neither Numismater nor the SCWC list a KM# 154.2 coin from Bolivia with the date-assayer combination “1871-FP.” In fact, the initials “FP” do not appear to be a legitimate Potosi Mint assayer initial combination according to the SCWC. Both sources do list an “1871-ER” KM# 154.2 coin (like mine) and an “1871-ER” KM-154.2 coin with the reverse rotated only 90 degrees from the obverse.
Based upon the above, I think the “1871-FP” entry in the date/valuation table is an error and it should be deleted and an entry for “1871-ER” with normal coin type die axis orientation should be added. However, the date/valuation table indicates at least one person claims to have an example of the “1871-FP” coin.
I guess the referee responsible for Bolivian coins for Numista will need to decide what to do here.
