Someone help me. I see coins I would like to buy or swap but I have no idea how to do it. I was trying to get a Dinis I denario for my grandson.

You can't buy here but you can swap if you have something to swap with.

How can I swap coins, banknotes and exonumia on Numista?

If you found the coin you want in the Numista catalog you can check if anybody even has it to swap.  For instance N#106353 shows this

It would take me years to put my collection onto Numista and it seems that even then, the person whose coin I want will not want anything of mine. How do you get around that? 

I notice three people want to swap a coin I would like to buy but they all offer the same coin. The photograph is the same for all of them. How can this be? Which coin am I trying to find a swap for and who has it?

What coin? Most members here are not looking for one specific coin but many they acquire slowly through swaps.

Three member have it for exchange.

None have pictures of their coin. What you see in the pictures on the coin page. One has graded theirs G, one VF and no grade for the other.  One doesn't want to swap “at the moment.”  I would suggest you send them a private message and start the discussion of what coins they would want in exchange and if any are interested ask for pictures of their coins. If you strike a deal be prepared to send your coins first.
