bonjour

Hubertus Jagdmesser Folding Pocket Knife G. Grafrath Solingen Model 2577 in BOX

"Up for auction is a Hubertus Jagdmeser folding pocket knife. It has 3 blades, a Gut Hook and Corkscrew. It is marked G. Grafrath Solingen on the main blade. All three blades are also marked Rostfrei. The bottom of the box is stamped "2577 Ro. EH". I am by no means a knife expert and have tried to do research online and through the expertise of generous others it has been said that this knife could be Pre 1955 up to the 1960's. Please take a look at the photos etc and use your own judgement & expertise. This knife was my Grandfather's and he was stationed in Germany immediately following WWII and also in the late 60's. I do not believe he ever used this knife, it does not show any signs of use or ever being sharpened. I took it to a store here in town and according to the man who sharpens knives for a living, this knife has never been sharpened. Again, I am not an expert and am very happy to take any extra photos, measurements, etc that you may need. I have not cleaned it, although it is a little dusty inside. I will leave that up to you. What you see in the photos is what you will receive, there is no paperwork etc. I am not a collector and feel that this knife deserves a better home with someone who will value it as the special item that it is rather than it sitting in my closet!! Again, Please ask any questions before bidding. I am happy to help out in any way I can to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase !"
