What is that screenshot from?
It is not a bug. It is the title of the coin.
On the history menu, the item ‘500 Lire Donatello - Italy - Numista’ is for a page with coin title ‘500 Lire Donatello’
On the history menu, the item ‘500 Lire - Italy - Numista’ is for a page with coin title ‘500 Lire’
Here is the history menu in Firefox - same thing as yours.

It is not a Safari bug when I test it in Safari.
It is interesting though.

I would suggest that you clear your cache (Develop Menu, halfway down, or Apple-Option-E), and clear your cookies (Safari Menu > Preferences > Privacy), and restart Safari, and see if that fixes it.
thank you for your help, no luck.
I think I'm overflowing Safari memory as I have 16 tab groups with up to 100 tabs on a Apple M1 2020 MacBook Pro running Ventura
That number of tabs should not be a problem - Safari can support up to 500 open tabs.
