Counterstamped unknown coin, possibly an English farthing? [solved]

3 posts • viewed 40 times

Hello everyone I have a coin that could be an English farthing based on the size and design but i'm not entirely sure. The diameter is about the same size as a us penny and the weight is probably about 3 grams, likely copper composition. Any help with what the counterstamp might be will also be appreciated!

Not a UK coin as the seated figure is holding something up

in the air on a stick, so is not a trident.

Just figured it out. Actually it turns out to be from the Mexican state of Jalisco (makes sense since my other mystery coin was from a Mexican state and had the phyrgian cap motif).
