In our conversation you mentioned the majority of the XRF PMI signal comes from the surface, assumed numbers from what I read are 10-50 microns, inclined to lower values. Since the coatings are ~10-15 microns the readings will take only the surface, which can be read from the table. So basically we cannot know is it a coating or a solid metal, but we can take an educated guess if it's common alloy of stainless steel, if I understood you correctly, neotilva?
