Dutch - translates to “goats”
That is what Google translate says.

Nice try, but that's not what I'm looking for
There's an overstrike at the word "GEITJES"
Have a look at the first 2 detail pictures
You will notice that there are smaller letters that got overstruck but it doesn't match GEITJES
Question is what's the word
There's a small S at the end and a small T = between TJ
In between the normal I T you can see a small letter that looks a little bit like an E
This small E makes it unpossible to be simple the same word GEITJES but smaller
Doesn't add up :-)

Could it have been a mistake and someone thought it should say “Grietjes” as in Greetings?

Looks like 8 letters over-stamped with those 7 letters, from the spacing >
G * * E T * * S / G E I T J E S
Maybe it was never meant to be a recognisable word, just an extra letter
added in error spelling. With a goat lady shown it was Geitjes mis-spelled.
Maybe.

Someone definitely messed up and had to fix it so it's not an overstrike but a refurbished die (at least all the coins posted look the same).

Guessing the cost of a restrike is less than melting and starting again.

Yes, that lettering would fit. Thanks
G E I E T J E S
It is also a real Dutch word - ‘little ones’ is the translation.

Sorry to disappoint … geitjes is little goats … geietjes is total nonsense in dutch (at least my dutch) 😉

Someone needs to tell Google.

This is not the first stupidness from Google, and I am afraid not the lest one too.
