Hi all,
I have a few suggestions for the addition of new manufacturing techniques. I've added examples below each suggested technique.
Additionally, I think it would be a good idea to create a category of secondary techniques. For example, colored coins would be a secondary technique of milled. So this coin, N#323, would be categorized as milled for its primary technique, then subcategorized as colored.
Here are the techniques that I think would be better as secondary techniques.
- Colored
- Countermarked
- Counterstamped
- Counterstruck/Overstruck (this would be a new technique for when a coin is struck using another coin as the planchet)
- Cut
- Engraved
- Inlaid
