Has anyone checked out eBay Live? I just found it a few days ago and have been checking out some of the live coin auctions, and most of them are ridiculously over priced!

 

The other day there was a 1922 $20 gold certificate, non graded, and the host goes and I quote “this is easily a $1500 banknote”. He started the auction at $1000 and somebody took it for $1150 or $1200.

 

Currently eBay has the graded 1922 $20 gold cert from multiple sellers for around the $300 mark. My guess is most people bidding in these live auctions don't know any better.

 

Thoughts or any experiences with eBay live?

Ebay in general has become overpriced.

True that. I think that has a lot to do with the high fees that eBay puts on the selling items.

 

Nonetheless, I have still seen some very good deals there. But eBay Live is just next level price gouging as far as the coin auctions go.

Recently discovered Whatnot  This site has many live auctions for coins and other collectibles  I've only used it for 1 day and managed to spend almost $150. Got several proof sets a couple of nice Wheaties a $5 maple leaf and several other coins. All the auctions I saw started at $1
