This is shown on my profile page, but what does it actually mean? [solved]

There is a “0” to the left and “716” to the right, but what does it mean. I know there are countries from which I have no coins, but I do not have a country with 716 coins in my collection

Thanks in advance for an answer.

The right hand number is the number from the “country” with the most coins. The country may be multiple countries in the same location. For instance the right number in my collection in the number of US coins plus 1. The plus 1 comes from Alaska where 1 coin is from the Russian Empire. Find the red “country” and click it to see what's included.

Multiple issuers can fall under the same modern border they add up and as such don't have to correlate exactly.
My example that is not the number of the extreme is Poland.

Without the former German issuers etc. the color would be green not yellow.

Just checked my red area, which gives me two different results, none of which are a true representation of country totals, which I thought it would be.

Red area 1. Red

Soviet Union 164

Russian Federation 430

Russian Empire 17

Tartarstan 3

Total 614

Red area 2

Soviet Union 164

Ukraine 535

Russian Empire 17

Total 716

Still does not really make any sense, as I was hoping for country totals not amalgamations, so will ignore from now on, but thanks for explanation

It’s a matter of personal preference.

The way you separate the issuers in your collection may be different from how I do.

Some people consider Russia and the Russian Empire to be the same, while others don’t.

I do not think Numista can please everyone in every aspect.

Anyway is just information, easy to ignore

I do not mind Russia being split into different sections, but to include Ukraine is completely wrong, when going by the colour coding.

I have just clicked on Poland, of which I have 548 coins, but the other places listed with it was ridiculous, so will stick to the listing at the bottom where it tells me correctly “coins from each country”.

Case closed, and thanks for comments
