EBay prices

Why prices on apparently the same coins are so different on EBay? Example: price on “1988 CANADA 1 DOLLAR LOONIE” range from approx. 1.50$ to over 700$? https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1988+CANADA+1+DOLLAR+LOONIE&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2332490.m570.l1313

Hello 🤖

Without pictures, it will be very difficult for anyone to help you. Could you please post clear pictures of each side of your item?

Please note that this is an automatic message. Feel free to ignore if it is not relevant.

People can ask whatever they want for an item on E-BAY.

The key is to check what items sold for.

Welcome to Numista, curious.

As pointed out by DSC07625, if you want to know the value (selling price) of a 1988 Loonie on eBay, here is the correct search:  https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1988+CANADA+1+DOLLAR+LOONIE&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_sop=16

The highest verifiable selling price with shipping included is about $13 for a coin in exceptional condition; the lowest $2.50

Good luck!

Simply because nobody evaluates the exact value of the coins published on eBay.

I could price a common penny for 200£ and nobody could argue with that, as eBay doesn't even have a comment section.
