Id for 6 silver(?) coins. [solved]

No experience with coins, but got these 6 coins from a relative. Need id/value of them.

Hello and welcome to Numista!

All your coins are indeed silver, and quick and easy to find in the catalogue! On the coin's pages you will find their metal value, as well as earlier prices at auctions.

Kindly read the page “How much is my coin, banknote or piece of exonumia worth?”

Here is one of them: N#17166

Found by searching in the catalogue, and adding filters with the information you have at hand:

Good luck with the other 5! 😄

Smacksel joins Numista on 5th April immediately posts that they „need id/value of them“ doesn’t put any effort into finding out about the coins themselves even though there are obvious clues (like numbers) on the coins and expects expects expects. Sometimes this Forum feels like we are doing kids homework for them or in this case satisfying everyone’s desire for riches!

I don’t mind helping kids with their homework but am getting slightly annoyed at the demands of „how much is it worth“ questions, especially as most of these new members don’t even use the website because they are interested in coins, will post once then disappear without ever contributing or so much as saying please or thankyou!

Smacksel is concerned about finding their value so fast he/she didn’t even have time to form a polite sentence, and while I appreciate someone from Finlands first language isn’t English, their language skills are good enough to know please and thankyou.

„If your reply or post in the Forum stinks of AI, I will call you out! Knowledge comes from experience, the I in AI stands for incompetence.“

Could not have said it better myself, @King. Think the forum could do with some form of light gatekeeping…

Hi @soldf19179 . Thanks for the answer! I tried to look for it a bit on the list, but not knowing what to filter with made me not find it at first. I'll make sure to look for it closer. And @King , i'll be sure to be more polite, so i'm sure you can also give a less snarky comment next time. Makes the world a more peaceful place.

Morning mates,

I am as bored as you are with this lack of courtesy, as well as astonished to see how many (new) members are behaving like uneducated customers. “ I need, I want” etc. They expect information they could get by themselves.

Nevertheless, Numista can not ban them just for that.

So, I just disregard their miserable posts ;-)

Enjoy a good day,

Vieille Pile
