Hello, and I hope you are well!

One of the issuers I currently referee for is known as the “Western Turkic Khaganate”, but this is an incorrect attribution. The coins collected under this issuer belong to the “Western Turk Shahis”, a descendent dynasty of mixed Western Turkic and Hephthalite Hunnic influence.

I am not requesting a new issuer, but a changing of this issuer's name. The following is the required information:

Format:

Central Asia (ancient) (section)

----- Western Turk Shahis

Name: Western Turk Shahis

Wikidata code: Q39047075

Countries filled on the map: Afghanistan, Pakistan, India

Flag (Tamgha of the Turk Shahis, drawn by me)

Have a wonderful day!

I did the changes except the flag.

We can also set up Predecessors, Successors, Related countries and Introduction text to make this section more organized.

Thank you very much!

For predecessors, the “Nezak” and “Hephthalite” Hunnic Tribe is most accurate

For successors, the “Kabul Shahis Dynasties” would be the most accurate.

For related countries, the “Tokhara Yabghus” makes the most sense. This issuer does not currently exist in the Numista catalog, but I have an active request to have them added.

Introduction text: “The Western Turk Shahis of Kabul were a dynasty of Western Turkic/Turko-Hephthalite origin. It is believed the Turk Shahis were political extensions or sub-kings of the Yabghus of Tokharistan, who ruled most of Tokharistan to their north. The Western Turks’ territory was primarily centered around Kabulistan, but at greater extents included Zabulistan and even Gandhara. The Turk Shahis were eventually overtaken by a new dynasty of Hindu Shahis in 822 AD, ending centuries of Turkic rule in the region.”

Have a wonderful day!

Thank you! It would be great if we had such info for all issuers.

Added all except related country, which needs to be present in the catalogue first.

Thank you very much!

I agree, more issuers having filled out predecessors, successors, related states, and introductions would be great. I have been in the process of fully renovating Central Asia and Central Asia (ancient) since becoming ref, so sending requests for all of my issuers is on my to-do list.

When I go ahead with that, would you prefer I make individual posts for each issuer (Would be upwards of 30+ posts), or should I make one master post that houses all of the requested updates?

One clearly defined master post is ok, just please leave out the flags for separate thread.

Hello,

I added the flag.
