4,587 new user accounts were created on Numista in March 2025, increasing the total member tally by 1.6%.
This March's new members added 102,400 items into their collections. 17% of March's new users appear to be active and 9% are not publicly visible. The rate at which new users do not select a nation has trended up over the last year. While 2% used to be the normal rate for "stateless" users, it is now frequently over 5%.
4,332 of March's new members selected a nation. 154 nations are represented this month, and 85 of them have added at least one item to their collections. Of March's new users, 739 are American, 594 are French, 240 are Indian, 189 are British, 168 are Filipino, and 157 are Canadian.
There were notable surges in memberships from British Indian Ocean Territory, Georgian Republic, Iran, Israel, Kosovo, Madagascar, Moldova, Norway, Slovakia, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Ukraine and Uruguay.
Interesting... only three users reported their nation as "Russia", while 42 reported as the "Russian Federation". Is this a deliberate change in Numista policy, or is this a concerted effort by users from that part of the world?
Armenia, Ascension Island, Belize, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, Congo, Djibouti, Falkland Islands, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Iceland, Lesotho, Macau, Malawi, Maldives, Martinique, Mauritius, Monaco, Oman, Pitcairn Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Turkmenistan, Turks & Caicos Islands and Uzbekistan each gained one new member.
Lithuania and Norway each added their 1,000th member.
Ukraine passed Switzerland for 25th rank.
Of the top 20 nations, Mexico grew the fastest in March (3.3% increase), while Italy grew the slowest (0.9%). The USA grew by 1.4% and France grew by 1.6%.
