German New Guinea Coin listed in eBay- KM 7 5 Gold mark. Mostly a fake.

They look like they would even stick to non-magnetic materials, 110% fake.

The fact it says its was made in Guinea (A country in Africa), speaks volume, seller with 4 items and ESOL remarks - Great backpack?

This seller and coins are so Chinese el fako its not true. Alarm bells go off even looking at it.

The coins look like the standard fake Chinese crap that has been artifically aged and made out of nickel plated brass and would weigh like 16 grams.

Even funnier were listings underneath selling sets of very common circulation coins for like $40. Lots of ripoff merchants and shipping prices that seem a joke ($80+) - then again I do live on Mars (New Zealand).

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

the fact is says guinea speaks volumes? how?

Guinea is in Africa, but the coin says “Neu Guinea” which is New Guinea, which is a very different country (and alot closer to you than you'd think.) No doubt about how fake the coins are though, the fact that a genuine one is almost £500 and up to thousands and they're selling two of them for just over £100.. even if someone can't identify fakes well it really is one of those “too good to be true” moments.
