Hello all
I have this little silver hammered coin but I am not able to identify it, although I have seen on the webb a similar one but no details were attached to it. It's weight 1.01g and 19mm diameter. Can anybody help identifying?

Do you have a link to the similar one you found? The double cross brings Hungary to mind, also think I can make out “REX”…
On the reverse I can see something like …wius. Rex, and on the reverse left side CON and something else on the right side of the bust.
Can anyone suggest something?

Yes indeed the Hungarian style Double long cross is present and I suspect it is not the house of Arpad already, maybe Louis I but not sure.

Some of the House of Arpad still used the double cross as arms, but I agree with you, it looks newer 🤔

It is quite large period as I found similar designs Andras II, Andras III, Bela IV, Istvan V, Laszlo IV, Karoly Robert, Nagy Lajos I, Maria Anjou, Zsigmond.

This has a lot of similarities and the obverse has CON on the left side.
Yes it looks like the same, James the I or the II. Interesting hey have used the hungarian double cross.
Thank you

Aragon, James I or II (IACOBVS REX):
I think James I is the one! Nice work tdziemia!
We've seen these before for identification.
It is very easy to see the double barred cross and think Hungary (and the Hungarian ones with a large cross like this are much later, 15th century I think). I went down that path a few times before learning about the use of that cross in Aragon.
It would be very helpful if the original poster would add that term in their title ("Unknown hammered silver coin with double barred cross") to make it easier for others who have the same challenge.

These kings used the thick double cross minted coins from the 13th-15 century. The other kings from the 10th century they used a thinner double cross but rarely the thick one.

By the way. I have a lot of polish hammered coins as well, in case you are interested.

Crosses are common in crusader heraldry and some use double patriarch crosses. Spain had its crusade running from 718 to 1492 with Aragon being major contributor.
They did not use Hungarian double cross just like Ford did not use Ikarus tires.
I guess you’re right with Ikarus and Ford, although the hungarians have some involvement in Ford’s histor. I was trying to explain that those crosses can be misleading and I need to expand my view a bit more when researching coins.
