Palatinate of Canan - a Jewish monarchy in late 1970's New Zealand.

Until fairly recently, I had never heard of the Palatinate of Canan.

From what I have been told it was set up as a Jewish monarchy located in the Canterbury region south of Christchurch.

Apparently, it had its own postage stamps.

I was told that it also had a banknote.

I think this is what it looks like;

I have no idea who set it up or how it was administered.

I also have no idea how long it was in existence for.

I have found nothing online at all.

It was also known as Camp David,  established a in 1974 by “Bishop” David Metcalf (which seems to be the guy int he note), collapsed in late 90s.  My quick search couldnt find anything about them issuing notes. Hope it helps
