Correct name of Burundi note signature [solved]

There is a signature included under the issuing entity Bank of the Republic of Burundi (https://en.numista.com/catalogue/issuing_entity.php?id=727) that may have the incorrect name associated with it.

This signature is listed as Désiré Musharitse in the catalog currently, but other sources, including the Moneypedia signature list, list this signature under the name Irène Kabura Murihano. Some of the note comments in the catalog list Irène Kabura Murihano for notes bearing this signature.

Need to have someone confirm the correct name for this signature.

Hello! I think this deserves further research. =)

We can't blindly trust Moneypedia, as there are some inconsistencies there. See this entry on Banknotedb.com, which says the signature is that of Musharitse. Another entry here on Banknote news. Musharitse stepped down as 1st Vice Governor in October 2023, giving way to Irène Kabura Murihano.

With this data and taking into account the years of issuance of some Burundian banknotes, it can be concluded (unless there is some other information that contradicts it) that the signature is with the correct name.

Let's see if we can get more concrete information on this subject.

I lost some of my blind faith in Moneypedia a while ago, after noticing a few other similar errors. It's an excellent source of signatures, but there are a few things you should always be aware of.

I suspect that Murihano's signature is the one on the left; but we still need some confirmation.
