I‘ve just found this German 2 euro coin which seems to have minting defects. Also the minting year is not visible. Is anyone knows whether this coin has any numismatic value ? Thanks.

A lot of wear. Worth 2 euros. What exactly are the minting defects you see?

first of all there is no minting year, secondly it’s not only a wear, just more more relief and influx (left coin) comparing to the standard coin (right coin).

Sorry but I see nothing but a worn damaged coin that doesn't have any kind of a Mint error. Maybe somebody else here can see something I'm missing.

A park house damaged coin, but still worth 2 euro😉

Post Mint Damage

Value : 2 euros

The poor quality of the coin is either Post mint damage or possibly a crude fake. Try weighing it as it might not even be worth €2….

It'll always be worth 2 euro, since it's not a counterfeit!

I have handled better quality counterfeits of €2 coins than this one! Which as images would fool anyone, only when handling them does it become more obvious they are fake, hence asking for weight - maybe extra photos flush against other €2 coins would also help.

You cannot say it is not a counterfeit because you don’t have it in your hand, unless you are the original poster, it is not possible for you to be 100% accurate in that statement.

I can however question its authenticity because the surfaces look poorly produced, poorly struck or have unusual wear which isn’t even or remotely like any well worn Euros I have handled before.

Just shown the coin physically locally to one of the local expert, and he argued that the coin is original but is of a very poor minting quality. He immediately offered me 20 eur for this coin and I agreed.

You have found the machine to make gold. Poor local expert.
