Gold Coin

I always wanted to buy a gold coin, however, I never quite figured out what I want to buy.

I want the following things:

  • Under $300
  • Historic
  • Circulating Issue
  • Nice Design
  • Preferably Europe

Does anyone have any suggestions? And if a reputable member has a gold coin for sale that fits those parameters, I will be happy to buy it.
If you want a value for money gold coin Edward VII Half Sovereigns can be bought at a relatively low price. Not ancient but a good age to them.
Yep, nothing better than this coin

Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!

Looking for pre 1783 coins

Go to your local pawnbroker and rescue one.

Not much chance of getting a Victoria sovereign for less than $300 !

As said I got Robert_ his Edward VII 1/2 sovereign for £140ish

Does Robert have multiple for sale?
No, he sent me the money and u went and got home one :)
I know it's not European but if I buy a gold coin the first one I'd get would be the Mexican pesos, 2 pesos and 2 1/2 pesos. They're pretty common, circulating, I like the designs and you can definitely pick them up for around $100

I love this one:

But it costs too much. There are many coins like that on that search page. But thanks anyway!
