For the Bosnia & Herzegovina Convertible Mark (1998-) Numista is showing the flag as obverse and map as reverse on the fening coins, and the denomination as reverse in the KM coins. Both wikipedia and the central bank of BiH website show them the other way round!

I assume the official bank is correct, unless there is another reason I'm not aware of. Does this need to be changed?

I thought this will be easy topic at first. :D

Numista follows our own guideline that says that the country/issuer identificator should be obverse, which is often contradictory to national banks etc… because those institutions often prefer “reverse/design" part, which is the one they are selling.

But when looking at the items, they actually have country identificator on both sides, so it could be one way or another.

Even guidelines are not of any help: "If neither the issuer nor the ruler appears on the coin, or if either the issuer or the ruler appear on both faces, then the face with the larger-scale or more detailed image is the obverse:" Since both designs are similar in magnitude.

Maybe @RubbyOriginal knows?

In my opinion, for the 0.05, 0.10, 0.20 and 0.50 KM coins, the more detailed side is the one with the denomination (currently the reverse).

For the 1 and 2 KM coins, only the side with the denomination bears the name of the issuer, so that should be obverse, if I am not mistaken.

However, for 5KM, both sides bear the issuer name but the one with the bird has more details, hence making it more eligible to be the obverse?

I guess it should be settled this way then.
