"Acmonital"

Why are we using this material definition (Albania, Italy, San Marino) instead of just “steel” - what it actually is? There are so many kinds of steel that it would be impossible - and unnecessary - to differentiate between them here.

Stainless steel. 

Could be changed to (Stainless) Steel, (Acmonital) in the additional details if it is a specific alloy.

Acmonital - (Acciaio Monetario Italiano) Italian monetary steel.

"acmonital ferromagnetico" - 82% steel, 18% chromium. AISI 430 standard  

"acmonital amagnetico" - 72% steel, 18% chromium, 10% nickel. AISI 304 standard

Bronzital - (Bronzo Italiano) Italian bronze. Composition is 92% copper, 6%  aluminium, 2% nickel. (Cu92Al6Ni2)

They have specific alloy composition. Saved it in notes some time ago. Did not save the source.

Almost. Replace “steel” with “iron.”  What's interesting about those two stainless steel alloys is that the first (430 stainless steel) is ferromagnetic. The second (304 stainless steel) which replaces some of the iron with highly ferromagnetic nickel cuases it to become non-magnetic.

Steel is an alloy of primarily iron and carbon. In stainless steels, carbon is considered a tramp element and undesirable.  

That's what I thought at first, that all acmonital was “non”-magnetic and that's the reason we have it as a material. But when there is one that is magnetic and on that isn't I see no reason to keep a specific alloy as a material.

The same for Nordic gold (here it's worse that it has gold in its name) it should be Aluminium brass (Nordic gold).
