1898 No Mint Mark

I have checked two sites, this being one of them, and none mention an 1898 with no Mint Mark.  Is this an anomaly?  I thought I would find it here if anywhere.

Your example has the H mintmark, just very faint and worn.

It's beautiful!  I have a special place in my heart for very old pennies.  I didn't even realize Canada had large ones like the US used to.

I tkink this is a common mistake as the catalog only states that  the mintmark is “below the date”. The verbage could be changed to “ Mintmark if present below date near the rim”  to better direct ones attention closer to where the mintmark is actually located. I will attempt to make a CR and add a photo to the page for clarification.
