As the title states, this line / PROOF coin does not exist. The 2008W Proof coin does not have the reverse of 2007.  SOME (47,000) of the 2008W Burnished Uncirculated have the reverse of 2007 and is already accounted for. The Burnished Unc. 2008W that have the proper 2008W reverse are accounted for as well (533,757). Again, no  2008W Proof coins have the reverse of a 2007. An erroneous line.  Only SOME 2008W Burnished UNC's that are already accounted for have the 2007 reverse . Thanks in advance.

SHould the Numista members who checked this coin as being in their collection get moved to the 2008W Proof line or to the 2008W Burnished UNC reverse of 2007 line?

Seems to me a buyer would know that they have a proof and that's the better choice?

If what they possess is indeed the 2008 W Proof with a mirrored finish then they can only have the 2008 Reverse. 2008W Proof year Line. The only way they can confuse the issue is if they dont know the difference between a Proof finish and a Burnished finish which is very unlikely.  If thay can't distinguish between a Proof or Burnished finish then they certainly won't notice the very minor differences between the 2007 reverse and 2008 reverse.  .8% claim to possess one. I have no answer for that.

Best thing is to move them to Undetermined. They'll then move them to where they belong. Only about 20 members are affected.

Great suggestion, thank you.

I would like to add that all my change requests are very thoroughly researched before asking and realize the headaches it presents. You will not find this errouneous  2008W Proof / Reverse of 2007 (among a few others on the Numista ASE page) year line anywhere else but Numista. Not KM, not USACoinbook, not at the U.S Mint, not Redbook, etc.

Done. One year line is not a big headache, and thanks for any/all suggestions to improve the accuracy of the catalog.

Thank you. Just trying to correct the train wreck that has become the Numista US ASE Type 1 Page. Nobody's fault but the U.S. Mint has been all over the place and less than forthcoming over the years about what, where, and how many ASE's were produced over the years for a variety of reasons. Volatile Bullion prices,  economic issues, Covid, Skilled workers, etc, etc.
