5 Centesimi - Victor Emmanuel III 1918

I was sorting and listing my coins when I came across a coin listed as copper. However, the coin I have appears to have a white metallic color and doesn’t feel like copper at all. It has the same diameter and weight as the one listed on Numista N#2741

I added  10 Centesimi - Victor Emmanuel III 1929 copper as comparison photo 3.

N#1960

Any ideas? Chemical work, coating or something else?

Diameter 25mm

Weight 5g

Checking KM there are listed at the end of Italy the Trial and Pattern strikes. From KM# Pn 17 - 21 the 5 Centesimi for 1918 is listed as a pattern in something called “ferro nickel.” It great condition they show quite the premium over the copper regular issue. Features of strike and condition make this more likely to be a counterfeit. Even in that condition it would be desirable if it could be determined authentic by a real expert.
