Newbie here, inherited coin collection. Reverse side of this coin is a mirror image. The wreath and alphanumeric characters are raised, as you can see from a pencil rubbing. I didn’t remove the coin from the package, so detail is not great. I’d appreciate any input about this coin. Thanks!

Hello and welcome to Numista!

It looks normal to me.

Hi Rsirian. Thanks for the welcome.

You reversed my image, but you made me look. 🤪

No, I just rotated it.

OMG. I promise I’m not an idiot, but I feel foolish!

Thank you, problem solved. Poor quality normal coin here. Nothing to see here.

When was that coin put in that holder? The “Over 50 Years Old” was true in 1946.

We got it that way when my in-laws died. My mother in law was born in 1930, she not a serious collector, just interested. There are 4 other coins in similar packaged in similar stapled cardboard holders, but no printing on the cardboard.

We can’t imagine Ruby buying or packaging coins. We think she must have inherited these, maybe from an uncle…

Interesting. Feel free to post with any more questions or interesting coins.

Thanks for your help!
