Some of you around here have made some pretty negative comments about collectible bullion but I like them all: Pandas, Kooks, Mexico Libertads - and this really nice series that has taken off in price way above its bullion value. (Post any of yours if you've got 'em).
I too think that bullion coins are underrated, as they are the most internationally used coin of any one country, and are therefore the place where they show off their most beautiful and nationalist designs.
I don't own any, though.

I also like bullion, however I can see why some coin collectors turn up their nose, they are not coins.
But I know they are not coins and I don't call them coins.
I have 7 US eagles, and my wife got my three bars one year. I have wanted a Maple leaf for about 16 years but have not gotten one yet.
I find that patience will pay off, some day I might just stumble on one.
Taking a break from swapping for a while, but still interested in pre 1799 Spanish coins, I will make time for that!
these are nice images of very nice coins. I noticed that they are not in the database yet?
would be great if you add these along with some great images.

Well, I do think they are coins since they are legal tender in the jurisdiction that produced them. For example the U.S. Silver eagles have a face value of $1, and you can spend them, so they are definitely coins.
Quote: Mark240590I really like the Britannia fine silver billion coins too !
My oversight in failing to mention them, as I haven't taken a picture of the few I have, but they are among my favorites for sure. I think the design on the reverse changes every year or every other year.
I don't really collect bullion, I only have one, and that's one my father gave me, and I don't even know if you'd term it bullion. It's this silver $5 coin from NZ
I got this years ago and thought it was a new variety of £2 that I hadn't seen before - then when it arrived I saw it was silver (as that part was not mentioned in the listing) !
I think the Libertads are elegant and maybe the best designs of them all; with the Brittanias not far behind.
Here's a recent pick-up - the Fiji Hawksbill Turtle coin

I like them. I've got a couple silver eagles and an Isle of Man silver pound. My girl has a Chinese silver panda. And for the heck of it I bought her some of those 1 gram replica coins/tokens (whatever!). The detail is surprisingly good on those.
