Hello! I've recently inhrited a massive pile of like 350 coins from a relative. While I could identify nearly all I've had the patience to sort through until now, I have absolutely no idea what this is, as it is in a very deteriorated state and I can read none of that, and neither can Google Lens. Soooo, I have turned to the internet for a little bit of magic, if anybody is willing to help.

I don't even know if it's real or a fake, or where it came from. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello and welcome to the site.

Look under Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.

It's similar to this one I own: N#119301

Welcome to the club. Contemporary forgeries for 1661-1666 schillings are 2 out of 5.

Sooo… is there any way to check it without getting it to a specialist?

they were minted in millions. Money printer went brrrr. Taking to specialist would cost more than it is worth and details are worn to the point where you can't identify year.

You are probably holding first photo upside down. Had to rotate it around 270 degrees to get eagle up right.

CAS REX on side with face - King Casimir

REG POLO on other side - Kingdom of Poland

Only two first year digits and barely visible eagle.
