What size is it? Looks like toy / play money imitation sovereign.
Some kind of medal perhaps? Looks like there was a loop soldered at the top. And a coin from 1901 would show an image of Victoria not Edward.
I looked around - there are a bunch of these with different years for sale on ETSY.
They are referred to as “Coronation Tokens”.
