Thanks for the additional information. I did a search of the Zeno database for Indian bronzes weighing from  9.25 to 9.45 grams with diameter 16 to 18 mm and unfortunately didn't find a match for your coin. Hopefully another member will be able to help.

There is not much to give a clue, the broad rather crude script suggests  it's probably Maratha
