King Charles II's reign in Ireland started in 1649, not 1645!

1645 was still within King Charles I's reign.

Correct, if you ignore the fact that England had become a republic. It cannot be ignored that Charles I was executed in 1649, and was presumably king until then. I stand to be corrected on this if I have missed something.
