Considering this coin is #11 on NGC's top 25 world counterfeit coins and the value of a real one I wouldn't want to judge solely based on pictures, especially taken through the flip holder. Take pictures out of the flip. Picture of the edge. What is the weight and the diameter. Does it stick to a magnet? Is it really silver?
Seller have 100% selling rating on ebay based on 200 transactions.
I tracked this coin. it was sold on Bloomfield Auction in August. Seller said auction confirmed authenticity. I ask if it weight 28 grams and 40mm in diameter, he said yes it is.
I did check details as much as I could by pictures. Honestly all spots looks genuine. Now I am waiting it by mail to confirm it's weight and diameter personally.
$200 is a steal. The coin looks to be MS grade usually going for 20 times that but let's see what it looks like out of the flip. It sold at the Bloomfield Auction for $75. I have my doubts.
This one is fake. The fakes are 2.3mm wide to make up the correct weight and not 2mm as should be. This forgery was made to damage the Italian economy during WWII.
I have been passionate about coins ever since I found a roman coin washed out of a hill path by the rain as a child when walking with my Father. He was an archaeologist and identified the coin immediately. He did not seem impressed, but I was hooked!
