I find it very useful to be able to view and print a swap in excel, I would love to be able to print a similar list when viewing parts of my collection or when searching the catalog. For instance I collect birth year coins, so if I searched for say 1961 there are over 400 circulating coins, it would be great to print that list, does anyone know if I can do that?

thanks in advance

Kevin

No and it was request probably a dozen times in the past (when you search the forum you will likely find quite a few threads). But I also could imagine that it will not be implemented to export search queries without limitations otherwise you could very easily export the whole catalog straining the server etc..

You could add them all to your wish list and export that.

But only after you added all (in this case) 400 individually to your wish list.

I think the wishlist is only by type and not declined into years?

Since the OP is only interested in 1961 dates it would work well for them.

If a type has the years 1950 to 1970, then he might have a chance of less than 5 percent to get a 1961….. in a change of one coin.

And?

They are only interested in 1961 dated coins  for their collection.

Safe to assume they just want a hard copy list that can be easily referred to rather than using their electronic device of choice.

You can only add a type to a wish list.  You would still have to open every coin with a 1961 date and add the type to your wish list (individually, one at a time).

Then you could export it to excel.

But you wouldn't be sure to get any 1961 coins, but for sure you would get the types, containing eventually a 1961 coin, so it's not a very efficient way to proceed.

It would be fine if all I wanted was an electronic record of what exists and what I have added to my collection.

Which is not what the OP asked for, so for the moment there is no easy solution for his need.

Interesting comments thank you, I collect circulating world coins in general but I have ‘sub’ collections of each of my families birth years. So when I search the catalog for a specific year I then have to go into each and every coin to see if

a. There was actually one issued that year if it was in a date range and

b. To find out how many variants there were for that year eg different mint marks (I could add these to the excel sheet)

this all takes quite a while and I can’t complete it in one session, so a simple printed list would be good to refer back to and use for instance when looking through a swap list

thanks for the help, I may explore the wish list route

The wish list with fast input display and a quick mouse click finger may work.

As far as a. if a particular date is in the range but none were minted for the year searched it won't show up in the results.

Example

Is it possible to save a search result electronically? That might help.
