RCM# 204141 - 5 oz. Pure Silver Six-Coin Subscription Series – The Bigger Picture – Mintage: 1,300 (2022)

The Bigger Picture zooms in on Canada’s circulation coins and zooms out to reveal there’s a lot more story to discover! Like a coin within a coin, each circulation design is re-created on a larger 5 oz. fine silver piece that provides an extended canvas for the engraved-only art.

Pull back and see the bigger picture on these six coins.

Coin #1: Bluenose (priced at $599.95)
Coin #2: Beaver (priced at $599.95, expected ship date of March 2022)
Coin #3: Caribou (priced at $599.95, expected ship date of May 2022)
Coin #4: Coat of Arms (priced at $599.95, expected ship date of July 2022)
Coin #5: Loon (priced at $599.95, expected ship date of September 2022)
Coin #6: Polar Bear (priced at $599.95, expected ship date of November 2022)
SPECIAL SUBSCRIPTION CASE! Coin #3 comes packaged in a gorgeous wooden display case that contains an insert for all six coins. The other 5 coins in the series are individually shipped in die-cut (clear plastic sleeve) that serve as temporary holders until the coins can be added to your display case.
5 OZ. OF PURE SILVER! Each of these coins is crafted from five ounces of the world’s finest silver (99.99% pure). That high silver content gives each coin a diameter of 65.25 mm and a metal weight of 157.6 g – the same as our popular Big Coin series – and that provides ample room for complex engraving and captivating designs.
GOLD PLATING ON COIN 5 AND 6! Selective gold plating adds a dazzling gleam to our finely engraved homage to the Loon and Polar Bear coins. It’s an upscale feature that mimics the look of the old-time favourite circulation coin designs.
LOW MINTAGE! An exciting collecting opportunity for those who love Canada’s circulation coins with a limited mintage. Only 1,300 coins are available worldwide.
INCLUDES SERIALIZED CERTIFICATE! The Royal Canadian Mint certifies all of its collector coins.

Especially considering Numista yelled at me when I pasted the comment text.

These seem to be 1:1 copy 'n pastes from the mint of canada sales page added by the previous referee.

We have many such texts in the catalog especially for modern commemoratives. Even worse when they are in the description, it's just a wall of text repeating everything that should be in lettering and other fields).

I don't see any justification for that text in the Guidelines for the Comments field.

Is it possible to find out which referee approved that text and ask why they think it fits the guidelines?

The previous referee, who had his own special ideas….. of interpreting the guidelines as formulated by numista.

If you can post the listings, we can edit out this verbage that does not conforn to our guidelines for many reasons (including plagiarism if the original source is not credited).

I didn't link the coin since I didn't want anyone to think it was isolated. There are other examples.  For this particular text see here:

And while you're at it, if you don't mind. move the KM references back to the first position.

Done.

Thanks for pointing those out (or any other in future).

Did you also remove the French text?

Oops.  Will do.

There are many more that read like they're directly from the RCM but don't contain prices. Here's a few examples:

Also, I noticed the Numista Developer is now a referee for Canada. Has he been assigned to clean up the Canada catalog?

Thanks, I will get those, too.

Thanks. French side of this one N#315857

No comment on the referees?  😉

Canada was turned (by the former referees) into being more interested in the “packaging” than the coins by themselves. I have “a ton” of modifications concerning variants of the singular coins in singular years, but I haven't submitted them yet, I have to discuss this first with other members. One thing is very sure for me, that collecting coins is far more than the coloring of expensive paper used to wrap some coins.

Make Coins Important Again. MCIA! This doesn't have anything to do with what is happening south of the Canadian border😇

At your graters, boys, and start grating by the Ignition signal for one minute. Winner is the person having grated most cheese during the 60 seconds😏 Sponsored by Cheddar of the US. Winner's price: one wheel of imported French Gruyère cheese……..
