I started learning German recently and would like to acquire more German coins from before 1945 (particularly third Reich). Please drop me a message if you have coins that fit this description for swap.

There is little to read on coins though, if it is about the language I would suggest getting some of the banknotes. There you can also better apply what you've learned about reading black letter script.

That probably sounds nice on parties, but how can your family be from the third reich in particular? Your family wasn't in Germany before 1933? Or they left the country in a hurry in 1945? ;-)

As in, that’s the period most of them were born, and the  period they came to America.
