Please change the name of the Beirut, Lebanon mint:  https://en.numista.com/catalogue/mint.php?id=1392

It should be Societe Orientale des Metaux Precieux located at 105 Doumet Bldg., 7 Asseily St., Jdeideh Matn 1202, Beirut, Lebanon.

Web site:  http://www.somp.com.lb/

Years of operation:  1950 to present (only as a mint in the early 1950's).

See discussion here:  https://en.numista.com/forum/topic151575.html

Agreed. With the SOMP acronym in the mint name, this:

1) is more correct w.r.t. actual company name

2) would avoid any confusion with a (not yet existing) official mint owned by the State of Lebanon.

This matches the information in Schön (47th edition page 18).

Added this information, thanks!

Nearly perfect: it should be “Société Orientale des Métaux Précieux” and in French “Beirut” is “Beyrouth”.

"(en) Located at 105 Doumet Bldg., 7 Asseily St., Jdeideh Matn 1202, Beirut, Lebanon." it could be translated into French as "Situé au 105 Immeuble Doumet, 7 rue Asseily, Jdeideh Matn 1202, Beyrouth, Liban."

The FR display is OK, but even in the EN display (and all other displays such as ES, IT…), the name should have accented 'e' since it is made of French language. This should be the last change to the mint.

Ok I used local name and acronym as a solution

I don't want to put French name as if it was an English one.

Their website seems to indicate that they now are completely known as SOMP so that makes sense to use as the name.  Should that also be used on the French Numista?  Also, the web site link was removed. Was that on purpose?

Right, SOMP is used on their Website, FB page and their building on Street Map also has SOMP written.

The explanation SOMP = Société Orientale des Métaux Précieux can be given inside the mint page and not on the title.
