Silver Proof Coin Commemorating the marriage of HRH Prince Charles

I have a Silver Proof Coin commemorating the marriage of HRH Prince Charles and Lady Diana Spencer. The Royal Mint was authorised to strike the commemorative coin. A maximum of only 250,000 Coins were issued for World Wide distribution.                                                                         The reverse of the coin features the profiles of the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer, in a contemporary and informal portrayal.                  The design was prepared by Phillip Nathan a former Royal Mint engraver. His initials “ P.N ” can be seen just below the portrait of Prince Charles.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    The design on the obverse is a portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the II wearing the Tiara which was a wedding present from her                   grandmother the late Queen Mary.                                                                                                                                                                                                                            I have had the coin for 41 yrs and it is still in the original box with the Royal Mint Emblem on the inside of the top of the box. The coin is still protected in casing it was put in, it has never been opened and is untouched.                                                                                                                                      I was just enquiring as to the value of this coin and would appreciate any information anyone can give me.                                                                                                          Regards JesseJ

Although I am not an expert, I am very sure that it is worth a lot to collectors who love them*.

Hi

They did a couple of types sometimes confused with each other the copper nickel one does look the same as the silver one so if you have a certificate with it or are positive its the silver one then all good.

This is the link to the silver one

25 New Pence - Elizabeth II (Royal Wedding; Silver Proof) - United Kingdom – Numista

and just in case it interests you this is the link to the copper nickel one

25 New Pence - Elizabeth II (Royal Wedding) - United Kingdom – Numista

Hope the links help :)

The link I was given helped me so thankyou for your help.  The coin I have is the Elizabeth ll (Royal Wedding Silver Proof) It's exactly the same as in the link. Even down to the authenticity card.   I have kept it in mint condition.     How do I contact collectors of Royal coins

How do I contact British Monarchy Collectors

Think you would be better off popping it on to something like Ebay and get to a more global market

They don't allow selling on here

Ok Thankyou for your help I appreciate it.        Regards JesseJ

More than welcome 👍

Make sure to check out what the sold prices are for the ones in known silver (some people think the copper nickel is silver) on there so that you don't put it on too cheaply, can always come down but not up in price.

Thankyou I will definitely take your advice on board.
