Hi Guys , how do you store your swap coins??:)

I have a box with sandwich bags..:)) and each time i neednto search in this all mess bag which i need .. quite primitive…

I don’t swap, but if I did, I’d do almost the same thing. I’d keep them in 2x2 flips in a separate box from the rest of my collection

For countries with less than ~30 pieces for swap - in good old film containers (you may get them for free in any photo lab). For larger quantities - in containers used by medical labs for your first morning pee 😝

I use self-seal bags, or carrier bags, or anything really.

Yet, although I have made over 150 swaps, I no longer wish to make any more.

Pretty much same as Zac - Plastic bags full of coins from various countries and eras/types for my main countries like UK, NZ, Australia etc.

I am now up to 8 shoeboxes and 6 tins for all my non album coins. It was 6 shoeboxes until 3 weeks ago when I bought 2 more pairs of shoes and both boxes survived to become coin storage. When you have 15000 coins, they kind of take up space!

Some better silver coins, have their own flips and some even sit in the main albums, at the end of a section. Sometimes I keep the coins I replace when I upgrade.

Most of my bulk silver is in a chest, its my Treasure trove and I play with the coins, a la Uncle Scrooge with it!

Handsoaps provided afterwards, otherwise you smell of sweat and coins!

I love coins. Especially silver, gold and anything really old.

I started with jars and boxes, dividing them for countries and facial value. With capsules for AU and UNC.

Then I moved hundreds of coins like these:

Using paper when there is copper in the coin to prevent plastic damage. Yep, it seems to work.

I still have a lot of coins to move, and I feel bad when I need to search in the boxes because the swap will be slow.

When I put a coin in the album I save the position in the private comment, like this:

So, if someone choose a coin that is in the album it is fast. Still a lot of more work to do.
