A topic I posted in recently has been, for some reason, sent to the trash:
When I click on it I'm sent straight to the general Forum index, so I can never access the topic and the “(1)” notification cannot be erased. Perhaps there's a way to cancel such notifications once a topic is trashed?
I don't know whether this qualifies as a bug but I marked it so…
I just had time last night to see that one guy was telling the other that his coins were better… I expected this to blow up during the night and apparently it did…
I had the same problem too a few days ago. And thought about the same solution. But it doesn't work for me yet since all the notifications will be erased then and I'm still a bit behind after a period of absence due to my parents' health issues.

Unfortunately I've missed this. Of course the forum is not meant for these things and I am not a disaster tourist but you do learn about people that way and I find that important.
In this case I don't think we missed anything particularly interesting.
The locked thread on Nazi coins was more instructive in this respect since one can see the tensions between those who accept the historical reality of what happened and those who don't for ethical reasons. At least the thread is still up with only a few posts that were deleted.
I have a similar situation in that I have a forum notification for a post on the Referee's forum but I can't access it since my referee rights were removed, but I still have a ‘(1)’ on the forum that I can't get rid of.
Just because you can't see it ... doesn't mean it isn't there - Anon.
