Indian Coin Identification #2 [solved]

5 posts • viewed 56 times

Hello all,

This post is a similar one to that of a coin I have before hand but i decided for the coins I have I will break them up into individual posts so it helps keep all the information separated.

This coin was obtained during my travels in the UK and I have had it for a couple of months but no sign of where and when it is from.

No weight but I have a diameter from 19mm to 21 mm and it is a thick coin. Composition is definitely copper/bronze though the design is hard to pin point asides from it being from South Asia.

Hope this helps!

Yea, it very much has much of the details, though the calligraphy and images are much more finer in detail rather than what is provided on Numista (Link provided Here: N#45179)

Because of that, is this considered to be a variant or fits within the realm of what has been posted on here?

I don't think in hammered coins of the 17th century they where worried about standardizations, looks like each coin is unique
