Help me valuate these coins

Does anyone know the price of these coins? I couldn't find any stable prices online. One is a 1737 1 Poltina from the Russian Empire reading “ПРОБЬ 1730.9721/25 0/h.СЕР 8 1/5” on the rim and the other is a 1995 200,000 Karbovantsiv from Ukraine.

Your Russian empire coin image is for 1 Ruble and not 50 Kopeks (Poltina). Obverse looks odd, when compared with other images for same coin. Rim on Anna's rubles is ornamented. They did not put silver content information on the edge at that time.

and 200 000 Karbovantsiv is commemorative with occasion listed on other side.

By rim I meant the thin part of the coin, I dont know what its called

The point was that no real Anna's ruble minted during her reign had silver content details printed anywhere on the coin. I think they started doing that only after 1810.

Your text does not list fineness in zolotnik as later coins would do. It is just some garbage text or you misread Cyrillic just like you did not recognize МОНЕТА РУБЛЬ.

What could this mean then? Is it some sort of coin that was incorrectly minted?

It is a piece of metal that somebody made look like Anna's ruble without knowing correct rim. They also could not get ruler's portrait right.

Are you sure about this?

there are 92 known variants for 1737 ruble. No entry in catalogue tells that rim is different. If you check how Anna looks on coin page and how she looks on your coin, you will see different expression/person. Check her eyes.

The “silver” rouble is a fake for sure, and I would say a cheap fake. It costs locally a few hundred roubles. In the last decade a lot of such fakes regularly appear on russian market.

Then what do I do with this? Could I even sell it to someone?

By the way, I asked for these coins to be valuated, not identified. Does anyone know the value of that 200,000 Karbovantsiv?

Telling that your item is fake also tells you its value.

I gave you link to coin's page where you can see auctions with it. You can also go to ebay and search for completed sales with it. I did pay more for that coin when I got it, but I had my reasons for that.

Nothing on this forum is stopping you from selling it, if you can find buyer. If you are from Russia, you might be also safe from their antiquities export laws, cause your item is probably not over 50 years old. We, The Internet are not here to judge you. Decision of selling it is between you and whatever deity you worship.

Ok, thanks for your reply. I will take this with a grain of salt just to be safe

It costs near 5$ in Russia

And where did you get that source?

Russian markets are very unstable, and there is no knowing of if the coins listed there are real or replicas

I see no reasons to make a replica for 5$ coin, too expensive.

You never know, plus I dont know how real/safe that russian website is… looks like a rip-off of Ebay

You had asked I answered. You may make your own estimation.

OP probably just getting frustrated that none of his/her items are worth anything much, The rouble is a crude imitation

I am more experienced in the field of ancient and chinese coins, south-east asian coins included too!

I've got 300 more coins, I have nothing to be angry about
