How exactly do you know he likes that? There not much communicating with a snake, right? Don't you think it's possible that you, as many people with pets do, project human characteristics onto it? :-)

Will Sock get much bigger, or is he pretty much fully grown? I’ve never heard of Kenyan Sand Boas, I like the colours.

I very well could be
Ive held a lot of snakes tho, and have noticed that they tend to move fast when stressed or scared, and will try to escape if they’re not a huge fan of being held (which is normal, seeing as in their eyes, we’re a predator)
Snakes are also cold blooded, so they quite enjoy the warmth from your body. They’ll wrap around your hand or arm and hang out just trying to keep warm
Kenyan Sand Boas are also pretty chill snakes, as they’d rather dig a tunnel and escape a situation rather than strike if they’re aggravated
Not all of them like being held tho and they’re definitely different when it comes to handling them compared to a ball python. But yeah
TLDR: He’s a chill snake. I gotta gain his trust so he’s more comfortable being held, but he’s already pretty chill with it, which is nice and makes things easier

So, being a Kenyan Sand Boa, the males are very noticeably smaller than the females. Males get from around 14-16 inches and females can get up to 26-32 inches in length. Sock isn’t gonna be a big snake by any means! He’s a wee smol boi
Go for it man! Snakes are awesome, I love them. I always liked snakes, and would def recommend. Rosy Boas and Kenyan Sand Boas are really chill and are great starter snakes, so if you ever wanna get a snake and want something chill and not too crazy, check them out!

That’s totally fair! I understand that! I know a lot of people who are deathly scared of snakes. Thankfully I don’t plan on getting any bears or Komodo dragons or anything like that! Maybe an iguana when I’m older, but nothing too crazy
