Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth - Polish coin names

1 post • viewed 32 times

I'll will be filling in fineness and size details for Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth coins minted in Wilno/Vilnius mint.

Is it ok to ask to rename those coins to English in same modification requests? Polish and Lithuanian names for coins will be listed in comments as “Alternative names: szeląg litewski, šilingas”

N#98100 = Denier - Stephen Báthory (Wilno mint). My source from 1993 says that both years were just a pattern/trial and only unique examples exist. Not a standard circulation coin. Looks like they did have some go into circulation in 1582 basen on WCN auctions.

N#98842 = Schilling - Stephen Báthory (Wilno mint) - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schilling_(coin) .

N#96462 = Groschen - Stephen Báthory (Wilno mint) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groschen

Trojak = 3 Groschen

Szóstak = 6 Groschen

N#98940 = Thaler - Stephen Báthory (Wilno mint) . Again not a standard circulation variant.
