Suggestion for image attribution

I suggest adding the option to attribute an image source as "The picture comes from another Numista member."

Sometimes, members send me pictures via private messages, or I retrieve images from the forum where members have posted but do not have the time or desire to add an item to the catalog. I also sometimes restore images belonging to Numista members in the history of a page (in the event of a handling error when changing an image). This option would be useful in such situations. We could add it under "other sources," but the link would not redirect to the specific member in question.

What I do in those situations is to put Myself as source and changing pseudo to the fellow Numista member

But in that case the link goes back to your profile?

I think this is long overdue, all referees should have the option to specify a member name as the image source, as images often get messaged, or copied from forum posts… or moved to/from examples. Or inadvertently replaced and you need to go back to an image from ‘modifications history’.

It also completely disregards the members ‘specified licence’ choice.

We are talking about members who have themselves given permission to use their pictures. Implementing this option means that members can be credited in the situations described above instead of putting them in ‘other sources’. We did not say that copyright was no longer necessary. 

I only put my nickname as an image source when I am the author
when it comes from another member I put their nickname with “The picture comes from somewhere else”
In “My catalog pictures” I find images without copyright or with the copyright of other members, ... or from authorized external sites!
