Not after the initials im after how to tell if the coin is an Y#59.3 i.e. if its an plain edge or however the littrature attributes that

The distict thing with plain edges is that they fully lack initials or so i think due to mint error while making the ingravings

Link please….. be polite and give it now?

If nothing is inscribed, then the coin is very used, but since you didn't send us an image, how can you expect a valid answer?

I have the coin linked in my first post … why the hostility? Also im not asking for help on my coin im asking for what the litterature says about y#59.3 to be clear there are an defined type of this coin where there is some form of mint error doesnt show the side text called “plains edge”

Theres 3 referenced types of the 1 rouble nicholas II Y#59.1, Y#59.2 and Y#59.3 none of which are described on the coins page but referenced.

Abit hard to know what type the coin might be if theres no explaination of it.

From SCWC:

Maybe that'll help you?

Different Y numbers for differtent mints. If you see that information on coin page isn't enough, you can propose a change. I think comments to year lines are enough

There are some differences in the portrait used in different years.

Paris mint at 1896 and 1898 used the same type of portrait type as SPB mint at 1895-1896

Brussels mint at 1897-99 used the same type of portrait type as SPB mint at 1897-1899

Possibly there are also some minor differences…

Many thanks to the explaination

According to SCWC:

Y# 59.1 - Mint mark 2 stars on rim.

Y# 59.2 - Mint mark star on rim.

Y# 59.3 - Without mint mark, moneyer's initials on edge.

The coin page comments allude to this but doesn't state that it's on the edge.
