We introduced the possibility for referees to write comments in modification requests and modifications requests.
Comments, introduced some weeks ago, can be used to add a note for the contributor or for co-referees.
Questions can be used to to ask a clarification to the contributor. The request is sent back to the member who requested the modification. After they reply, the request is assigned back to the referee.

Made a test with the demo account (so I don't know if it is only an issue with that particular account) and when a referee asks a question you don't get an orange notifier on the main header. Also depending on the monitor the respond option can be quite far outside your focus point and man might not see it.
Maybe putting the option to respond could be put behind the comment?

and exchange your arguments by PM before the discussion results in either rejection, acceptance, or appeal to higher arbitration

Would it be possible to add an ability to send a comment without re-submitting? Sometimes it is needed
Now that we have the ability for the referee to comment, it could be interesting to add the possibility for the contributing member to comment too. Can you please open a separate thread to track the idea? If possible, please include some examples where you would need it, so it's easier to assess priority.

Bonjour, je pense que tu fais référence à la procédure d'appel, qui permet aux membres de contester la décision d'un référent concernant une demande de modification. Dans ce cas, un administrateur (habituellement Jarcek), évalue à nouveau la demande.

For example now we have a request in “Pending” status and…
the referee send a question → status = Question asked → the user respond → status = Pending
the referee send only a comment → status = Pending → the user only can cancel or wait for more referee actions
The user may need send comments or ask questions to the referee.

A comment doesn't need the requestee's action, if one is wanted the Ask question option should be used.
On a creation request it's also technically already possible because you can make changes after you've send it off. For a change request it is unfortunately not possible to make edits right now (maybe we could get the allowance if no ref has opened your CR yet, and get similar restrictions like when another referee has already opened a request and a second one isn't allowed for a certain time).
For the user, in the “My requests” page, the dates indicated are those of the request depending on the sequence given, could it be replaced by the date of Validated, Rejected or Appeal
In My modification requests page I see the question asked (and the nick of referee) when the status is “Question asked”.
If I respond to the question, the status is “Pending” but in that page the question asked is still displayed. I think the question should be hidden when answered.

I clicked “add comment” just to send the comment to author and ask for some additional info but I don't see anymore the creation request on my list of reqeusts to be validated nor on the processed request list. strange.

Anyway, I expected that this will stay on my list of requests to be validated (I clicked “add comment” and don't wanted to return to creator). Now, I was able to edit the page but I'm still not able to validate it as it's not on my list, even I received additional info via private message.
I just tested again, and I could not reproduce the issue. Is it possible you clicked the wrong button? There are two similar buttons:
“Ask a question”: this sets the request in status “Question asked” and it is sent back to the member. The member needs to click the “Respond” link to send back the request to you for validation.
“Comment only”: this keeps the status “Pending” and the request stays in your list of requests to verify.
Could be that I clicked “Ask a question” do this option send back to the rewuestor and "comment only" will keep it on my list. Yes, still not yet familiarized with these new options. All is fine now and user sent request again to me so I can validate it. Thanks.
