Please exchange the YEAR LINE photos only for these 2 Coins. They are reversed and do not represent or match the photo of the type at the top of the respective pages. I attempted to modify it but I am not sure that I am able to do that and don' see a way in which I can. Note number of letters under neck  Thanks.

It gets tricky.  There are many different coins in those pictures, 29 different ones for 65.1 and 45 different ones for 65.2  Each will have to be evaluated separately as some are on the correct page and others not.  Doing the normal “modify” of each and attaching to the correct coin is tedious.  This is a job for the referee or admins.

@Grinya

Yes, some sales shall be removed and (or) added to another page. I believe year lines pics were taken from the sales pics.

Will check when I will have time and access from a laptop

Not sure I understand your point. Exactly where are these multitudes of photos of the 1897 15 Roubles? For each type I see photos of the Coin at the top of the page and the wrong photo at the year line that does not match. It Seems pretty simple to me as there are only 3  types for the 1897 15 Rouble. 1 Pattern, the 65.1 and 65.2. the year line photos are reversed. Simple.

Thank you Grinya. To me, it is a obvious minor oversight and I only  caught it when answering a question on the forum as how to distinguish the 2 types.

Not simple.  Many more that 1 coin is involved.  The year line photos come from the Past Sales.  Here are the past sales for 65.1:

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/past_sales.php?id=23407

Every picture you see there is in the year line photos.

Click the year line photos for the 65.2. The first picture is “2 letters of legend under neck” (wrong coin). Now click the right arrow twice. This coin is “3 letters of legend under neck” (right coin).  You have to do this for the 29 coins on 65.1 and the 45 coins on 65.2, then correct the ones that are wrong coin.  Actually most are correct.

Generally it would be great to have an ability to change the coin page for past sale instead of removing it and adding to another one

You can do that. I have done that for other sales on the wrong page.  Click the “Modify” icon next to the Sale. Under Coin identification replace the current N# with the correct N#.  I just submitted a CR to fix the first one on N#23047.

Numista has a habit of making rather easy and obvious corrections and modifications complex and complicated. Now we have to modify incorrectly entered past sales that Numista relies on for correct information before the incorrect information on the page can be corrected. This does not have to be this difficult. Even the referees are unaware of how to unravel the mystery.

In this situation, looking at some of the information from the auction site, the problem lies not with Numista but the information published by the auction site. An example:

I've had a chance to go through all the photos. There's just a handful that are wrong. I'll just submit CR's for them now.

Perhaps Numista should reconsider their methodology if this is so tedious. Are we not attempting to improve the catalog? Perhaps less tedious is the better way.

Just finished. Only 9 of the 74 were on the wrong coin page.  Still, 9 too many.

I don't know how Past Sales get added.  I know that apparently the Robot adds some (I've submitted CR's for ones added to the wrong page).  I don't know if all have to be approved by the referee/admin but if so, that's where this has to be caught.

Thank you, I appreciate your help. I am a pure collector and have no patience for layer upon layer of technicalities, discussion, debate, and bureaucracy to correct a very minor but important detail.

This is complete and can be marked as DONE.

Thanks. Not sure this robot thing is a good idea, Better no information then the wrong information.
