Metal content of this medal? [solved]

So the numista page says that the medal is nickel silver. However, Wikipedia claims that it is “struck from tombac and then silver-plated and oxidized." I'm more in agreement with Wikipedia as when I purchased mine it was tested for any silver content which it came back positive. If it was nickel silver then there would be no real silver content due to nickel silver being composed of  60% copper, 20% nickel and 20% zinc.

Would it be worth it to change the composition listed on the page or am I missing some information that would make the use of nickel silver the more logical option?

The guidelines state that if it is a White metal(non magnetic) that is unknown to enter it as “Nickel Silver” so the contributor may have selected Nickel Silver because they were unaware of exactly what metal it is. I would suggest to change it and include the page where you found the information.

Makes sense. I'll submit the change now.
