Medieval Swedish coin on auction site [solved]

4 posts • viewed 65 times

I found an auction for a medieval Swedish coin, and I tried looking it up to determine my max bid, but I couldn't find anything about it. It is in the Gustavus II Adolphus category and the title says it's silver, but I'm not sure how accurate that is

Probably Gustav II Adolf Treipölker, minted in Riga:

N#62190

I agree that it is Riga 3 polker or, in your case, around 1,5 polker.

Quite common coin, so it is better to find a full one rather than bid for half

Thank you! For some reason it didn't occur to me to search through the catalogs of the Swedish holdings :)
